    Seminar on consumer rights protection act held at Rajshahi College

    A seminar on the “Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009” and its implementation was held at the Rajshahi College auditorium on Thursday, organized by the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP). The event aimed to raise awareness among teachers and students about consumer rights and responsibilities.

    Faruk Ahmed, Director General (Additional Secretary) of the DNCRP, attended the seminar as the chief guest and keynote speaker. The session was presided over by Professor Md Zahur Ali, Principal of Rajshahi College.

    Among others, BSTI Rajshahi Divisional Office Director Zahura Sikder, DNCRP Deputy Director (Head Office) Afroza Rahman, Rajshahi Divisional Deputy Director Md Ibrahim Hossain, Assistant Director Fazle Elahi, Rajshahi District Safe Food Officer Md Yamin Hossain, and Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Rajshahi District General Secretary Golam Mostafa Mamun were also present.

    Speakers at the seminar emphasized the importance of protecting consumer rights and ensuring fair market practices. They urged students to become conscious consumers and active participants in promoting accountability and transparency in the marketplace.
