Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha expressed deep disappointment on Thursday over Bangladesh’s exclusion from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, describing the development as heartbreaking.
Speaking at the Captains’ Day press conference, Salman said the absence of Bangladesh among the participating teams was a major regret, both personally and for the cricketing community.
“Bangladeshis are our brothers, and we are grateful for the support they have always shown towards Pakistan,” the Skipper said. “It is tragic that they are not participating in this tournament.”
The opening batter’s remarks also reflected the strong bond between the two nations, as Bangladesh’s absence continues to draw attention and emotional reactions ahead of the competition.
