Bangladesh’s national football team saw a potential victory slip away in the dying moments as they drew 2-2 with Nepal in a FIFA International Tier-1 friendly at the Dhaka National Stadium.

The hosts fell behind 1-0 in the first half after a defensive lapse allowed Nepal’s Rohit Chand to score from outside the box in the 29th minute. Bangladesh came out strong in the second half, quickly turning the game around. Hamza Chowdhury equalized with a stunning bicycle kick just two minutes into the second half and later scored from a penalty in the 50th minute to give Bangladesh a 2-1 lead.

Coach Javier Cabrera made tactical changes, bringing in Shamit Som and substituting Junior Sohel Rana, as Bangladesh looked set to secure the win. However, in injury time, Nepal capitalized on a corner, with Ananta Tamang heading past goalkeeper Mitul Marma to level the score at 2-2.

Despite the late heartbreak, Bangladesh showed resilience and attacking prowess, but will rue conceding a last-minute goal that denied them a well-earned victory.
