Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud enjoyed a dream debut for Kent County Cricket Club, stealing the headlines with a remarkable nine-wicket haul in his first appearance for the English county side.

The right-arm seamer also had the opportunity to share the field with legendary England fast bowler Sir James Anderson during the match. However, Hasan did not get the chance to have a detailed conversation with the veteran after the game and is now hoping to do so when their paths cross again.Speaking to freelance cricket journalist Tawhid Qureshi in an interview for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Hasan reflected on his brief interaction with Anderson.

“We didn’t really talk during the match, but we shook hands and exchanged pleasantries after the game. Since they lost, I thought it was best not to disturb him further, so I didn’t approach him separately. Moreover, he left the field a bit early. I will definitely try to speak with him the next time we meet,” Hasan said.
