    Excessive love not always good

In life, we often give others “love.” Some of us feel joy in giving abundant love. But no matter how much love a person has in their life, there is a limit to what they can give. This discussion is not about giving less or more love; it is about the dangers of excessive love.

People naturally love and care for others, and there is nothing wrong in that. The problem arises when love becomes excessive. Overexpressing love can lead the recipient to undervalue it. In today’s society, genuine love is rare, and those who receive excessive affection often end up causing pain to those who love them.

Throughout life, we encounter many things, and we may achieve much. But nothing should be “too much.” Excessive love can make people take you for granted. Those who cannot handle it may mock, insult, or manipulate you. While it is natural for humans to make mistakes, those who receive excessive love often do not attempt to correct their behavior.

Therefore, giving too much can invite arrogance or disrespect. People who lack the capacity to handle intense affection or happiness may eventually cause pain to those who love them excessively. Over time, this can disrupt your work, your peace, or even lead to misfortune. If you demand love excessively, you may lose it. Likewise, showing excessive love may one day leave you heartbroken. The lesson is simple: too much of anything is harmful, and love is no exception.

Those who receive excessive love often cannot cherish it. Love should be applied without fear of loss, but one must also recognize that genuine love in today’s world is rare. Excessive love can eventually lead to isolation, as people may take advantage of your affection and devalue you.

In conclusion, the author reflects on personal experience: despite being hurt by love, he continues to give it freely, without expectation or selfish motive. True love, he believes, is a reflection of divine creation. In the sacred Hadith, it is stated that Allah says: “I was a hidden treasure; I loved the creation, and thus I created everything.” Love is the first act of creation, the foundation of all existence. Therefore, even in a world where excessive love can cause pain, we should continue to love wisely, sincerely, and respectfully.
