Dhaka University (DU) has postponed all internal examinations scheduled for 10 February for one day on the ocassion of the 13th National Parliament Election, while regular class activities will also remain suspended on the same day.
The decision was announced in a notification signed by the Acting controller of examinations, Himadri Shekhar Chakraborty, on Saturday.
According to the notification, the university authorities have taken the decision to ensure that students can be present at their respective polling stations during the national election.
As a result, all previously scheduled internal examinations of the university for 10 February will not be held.
The notice further stated that the revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced later following proposals from the respective departments or institutes.
However, examinations of Dhaka University’s affiliated and constituent colleges and institutes will continue as per the predetermined schedule, the notification added.
