Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad announced the adjournment of the parliamentary session for 40 minutes due to malfunction of sound system at 5.56pm on Sunday.
He was presiding over the session at that time.Hafiz said that the speaker’s microphone was not working once again. For this reason, the session was adjourned for 40 minutes, 20 minutes for prayers and another 20 minutes to fix the microphone.
The speaker said, “Honourable members, the speaker’s microphone is not working, and your microphones are also not functioning. Therefore, a 40 minute break is being given. It is almost time for prayers, so we are giving a 20 minute break for that. There are about 20 minutes left before the Azan, and another 20 minutes are needed to repair the microphones. So, the session is adjourned for a total of 40 minutes.”
