Safwan Bashundhara Global Chairman Safwan Sobhan has extended his congratulations and best wishes to Masud Khan on his appointment as chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
On behalf of the SBG chairman, the greetings were conveyed by the company’s Senior Deputy Managing Director Md Mustafizur Rahman; Deputy Managing Director M Naseemul Hye; and Executive Director and Company Secretary M Mazedul Islam, during a courtesy meeting with the newly appointed BSEC chairman.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues relating to the development of Bangladesh’s capital market, including the expansion of the bond market, margin rules and other relevant regulatory matters.
They also exchanged views on strengthening the investment-friendly environment and several issues of mutual interest, drawing on their respective experiences.
The representatives expressed hope that under the capable leadership of Chairman Masud Khan, the BSEC would play a more effective and dynamic role in promoting the overall development of the country’s capital market, enhancing transparency and ensuring good governance.
