Major General Asadul Haque, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 9th Infantry Division, served as the parade commander.
This year’s parade featured contingents from armoured, artillery, signals, East Bengal, air defence, services, para-commando, naval and modernised infantry units. Paratroopers were scheduled to descend carrying the national flag, alongside aerial displays by the Air Force.
The ceremony concluded with a flypast by MiG-29 fighter jets, which saluted the President.
