Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, is set to travel to Dhaka to attend the janaza of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The information was confirmed on Tuesday (December 30) by a source at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka. According to the source, Ishaq Dar is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Wednesday to participate in the funeral prayers.
For context, Khaleda Zia had been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka for the past 40 days. She was pronounced dead by doctors early Tuesday morning at 6:00 am at the age of 80.
