BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has announced that if the ‘Dhaner Sheesh’ (Sheaf of Paddy) wins, construction work on the Padma Barrage will begin.
He made this announcement while speaking as the chief guest at an election rally held at the historic Madrasa Field in Rajshahi on Thursday afternoon.
He also announced that a specialised hospital would be established in this district.
Highlighting measures for the unemployed,Tarique Rahman said that agricultural loans up to Tk 10,000 would be waived along with interest
He added, the people’s victory march will begin on February 13. In case of any undesirable incidents, he called on the caretaker government to conduct a proper investigation.
Earlier at 2PM, when the BNP chief on the stage, the party supporters welcomed him with applause and he waved his hand.
