As part of the election campaign, National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam is set to address the nation.
NCP officials have applied to the Election Commission seeking permission to broadcast the speech on state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar, Mahabub Alam, NCP joint chief coordinator and head of the party’s media subcommittee, told the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).He said the application for the broadcast was submitted on Tuesday, but the Election Commission has yet to allocate a time slot.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman is also scheduled to address the nation on February 9 as part of his party’s election campaign.
