A nationwide measles vaccination campaign has officially begun today, aiming to immunize approximately 18 million children across the country.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain Bakul inaugurated the program on Monday morning (April 20) at at Little Angel Seminary in Jinda Park, Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj.
The vaccination drive will be conducted daily from 8AM at all permanent and temporary vaccination centers nationwide, except on weekly holidays.
Meanwhile, the DGHS has advised children who have a fever or are currently sick not to be vaccinated at this time and to get vaccinated after they recover.
The first phase of the programme began on 5 April and will continue until 25 April, while the second phase, which started on 12 April, is scheduled to run until 12 May.
