Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has praised the country’s armed forces for their contributions to national security and disaster management.
He made the remarks on Wednesday morning at the closing ceremony of the National Defence Course and Armed Forces War Course-2025 at Mirpur Cantonment in Dhaka.
Addressing the course graduates, the Chief Adviser said, “The knowledge and experience gained through a year of dedication and perseverance will play an effective role in national development, policy formulation, and strategic decision-making.”
He added, “The National Defence College has been established as a centre of excellence in security and development studies. In a rapidly changing global environment, the institution is playing a crucial role in developing competent leadership to tackle national and international challenges.”
Dr. Yunus also expressed confidence that the 13th National Parliamentary elections scheduled for February will be conducted peacefully and in a festive spirit, saying, “The nation will take pride in this historic election.”
At the event, the Chief Adviser also requested the nation to pray for the speedy recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.
