Lily Whipped Shea Body Wash has been named the Product of the Year 2026 after emerging from a competition involving around 1,200 products, according to Remark HB Limited, the owner of Lily in Bangladesh.
The announcement was made at an event at a hotel in Dhaka on Monday. Representatives of Lily Body Wash received the award in the presence of Remark Director KM Sadman Sayeed, Lily brand ambassador and actor Keya Payel, Lily Chief Business Officer Abir Adnan, and other senior company officials and guests.
Lily Serum Glow Soap, Lily Face Wash, Nior Face Wash, Lily Ultra Soft Gel, Lily Shampoo, Orix Detergent, and Tilex were among the other products considered for the recognition.
Remark said the selection was based on a combination of market acceptance, consumer confidence, sales trends, and consumer feedback rather than any single criterion.
The company said the product was also evaluated for its combination of cleansing, moisturizing, and skincare benefits.
Abir Adnan, chief business officer of Lily, said the company considers consumer experience and repeat purchases alongside sales performance when assessing a product.
“We do not want to evaluate a product solely on sales volume. Why consumers buy it, their experience after using it, whether they repurchase it, and its acceptance in the market are also important to us,” he said.
Adnan said Lily’s long-term objective was to build the brand as a leading personal-care brand in households.
Keya Payel, brand ambassador for Lily Whipped Shea Body Wash, said she had observed consumer interest in the product through her association with the brand.
She said consumers had shared positive feedback about the product’s use, fragrance, and feel on the skin.
“I believe this love from consumers will help Lily move towards greater success,” she said.
KM Sadman Sayeed, director of Remark, said consumer acceptance was an important factor in determining a product’s success.
“For Lily Whipped Shea Body Wash, we considered sales as well as market response and consumer experience. The decision was taken after analyzing information from different sources,” he said.
He said Remark was working to produce products that meet international standards and build consumer confidence in domestic and overseas markets.
Company officials said at the event that Remark was seeking to introduce innovations in the personal-care market in response to changing consumer needs and lifestyles. They said consumer feedback and experience were also being considered in future product development.
Remark HB Limited, which owns the Lily brand in Bangladesh, manufactures beauty, skincare, personal-care, baby-care, and home-care products. According to the company, it serves both the domestic and international markets through its manufacturing, research and development, and quality-control operations.
The company said it has obtained ISO, cGMP, and Halal certifications and that its manufacturing facility has received a Green Factory Award.
Remark also said it follows the regulatory requirements and relevant standards of destination countries when exporting its products.
