Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) will operate additional metro rail services on election day to facilitate voters and ensure smooth passenger movement.
DMTCL Managing Director Faruk Ahmed said the extra trains are being added to prevent inconvenience to both voters and regular commuters.
He confirmed that metro services would follow the regular schedule on February 11 and 12.
To ensure uninterrupted operations during the election period, all leaves of DMTCL officials and employees involved in metro rail services have been cancelled, he added.
