Professor Ali Riaz has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government.
The appointment notification was issued on Thursday (November 13) by the Cabinet Division.
According to the gazette, the Chief Adviser has appointed Professor Riaz as his Special Assistant. While holding this position, he will receive the status, salary, allowances, and other benefits equivalent to that of an adviser.
A political scientist and writer, Professor Ali Riaz previously served as the co-chair of the National Consensus Commission. The commission was tasked with reviewing and adopting the recommendations of six reform commissions, a process that was recently concluded with the submission of its report.
