Sylhet’s Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Sarwoer Alam has been withdrawn from his post and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
The order comes at a time when the outgoing deputy commissioner was both praised and criticised for his measures concerning the fund management of the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and Shahporan (R) in Sylhet.
However, the circular did not mention any official reason for his withdrawal, nor has any replacement been appointed as deputy commissioner of Sylhet.
