Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has paid a courtesy call on President Mohammad Shahabuddin on the occasion of Independence and National Day.
The meeting was held at Bangabhaban at 6pm on Thursday.Barrister Zaima Rahman, daughter of the Prime Minister, was also present during the meeting.
Earlier, the President and the Prime Minister issued separate messages marking the day. They also paid rich tributes to the Liberation War martyrs by placing wreaths at the National Memorial on the outskirts of the capital.
