Four people were killed, including a man and his daughter, in separate road accident in the capital on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Saju Ahmed Sumon, 41, and his daughter Sumaiya Ahmed Trisha, 19, residents of Shahjahanpur area; CNG-run autorickshaw driver Md Alim and Md Harunur Rahman, 32.
Saju Ahmed and his daughter Sumaiya were killed when a truck hit their motorbike in Science Lab area of the capital at about 11PM on Friday. Saju died on the spot and Sumaiya critically injured.
She was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
Meanwhile, four individuals suffered serious injuries when a CNG-run autorickshaw hit the traffic island in Tejgaon Industrial area around 10:30PM.The injured were rushed to DMCH where the on-duty doctors declared CNG driver Alim and his passenger Md Harunur dead.
