Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan said that the cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, discussed the president’s address for the first session of the 13th National Parliament.
He made the remarks while speaking to journalists after the cabinet meeting on Thursday.The information minister said that the first session of parliament will begin on 12 March, and as the ruling party, the cabinet has taken preparations regarding the government’s responsibilities related to the session.
He said the discussion mainly focused on matters surrounding the parliamentary session. Decisions that have already been taken such as the Family Card, Farmer Card, and agricultural loans should be reflected in the president’s address.
The cabinet discussed the commitments already made and the initiatives taken to implement them.
