Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali has applied for release from his duties, citing personal and family reasons.
He signed the letter of resignation on Wednesday noon and sent it to the Police Headquarters.
When asked, Sajjat Ali said, “I have sent a letter of resignation to the Police Headquarters for personal and family reasons.”The current DMP Commissioner’s contractual tenure is scheduled to end on 21 November this year. However, he has sought resignation prior to the completion of his term.
