Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Abu Zafar Md Zahid Hossain has said that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the trial besis distribution of ‘Family Cards’ on March 10.
Initially, the programme will be launched in 14 upazilas, where all residents of one ward under a single union in each upazila will receive Family Cards.
Under this initiative, each family will receive Tk 2,500, the minister added.
He said, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the pilot phase of the Family Card distribution project on March 10.
”Through the Family Card, benefits will be provided to three groups in Bangladesh at a time– the destitute, the poor and the lower-income families– ensuring that the intended beneficiaries, especially mothers in these households, receive the support.”
