Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting took place at the Secretariat on Monday (23 February).
After the meeting, the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir stated that Ambassador Yao conveyed an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit China.The two sides also discussed strengthening bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, he said.
President Xi Jinping extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
