Two crude bombs exploded in front of the residence of Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Water Resources, on Central Road in the capital’s New Market area on Sunday night. No casualties were reported.
The explosions occurred at around 9:12pm, confirmed Md Masud Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna Division.
He said police are investigating the incident.
Earlier in the evening, around 7:30pm, two crude bombs also exploded near the SAARC Fountain intersection in Karwan Bazar. No injuries were reported in that incident either.
